Jacob is from Bucyrus, KS and attended Creighton University. He has a degree in Accounting and Business Analytics. Before becoming a FOCUS missionary, he worked for 3 years at KPMG as an IT Auditor. His faith has been important to him throughout his life. He is the Team Director for the FOCUS team and loves the opportunities that FOCUS gives him to praise, reverence, and serve the Lord through ministering to college students.

Maggie grew up in Hingham, Massachusetts, and has a degree in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Through high school and college, she stayed involved with her parish back home in Hingham, where she was first introduced to Adoration. While attending weekly adoration, Maggie had not only fallen in love with the Lord in a relational way, but had come to know the love He has for each of us. When thinking about the spiritual poverty here in the United States, especially on college campuses, Maggie felt called to become a FOCUS missionary. By doing so, she'd be able to go out and share the love she had come to know with other college students. Maggie is now serving her second year on mission here at Duke University.

Catherine Casserly joined the DCC in August of 2026 as a first-year FOCUS missionary! She was raised in the Bay Area in California by two native Texans and graduated from Texas A&M University in December of 2025 (whoop!). Catherine has been involved with FOCUS since her freshman year at A&M and fell in love with Jesus in a whole new way through Bible study, discipleship, and the community that was formed there. That's also where she met her fiancé, Drew, who she will marry in February of 2027!
She is eager to pour into the students and fellow missionaries on Duke's campus, and learn from their own journeys of faith. Please pray for her and all the students on Duke's campus!

Matthew Maiorano is a FOCUS missionary from Long Island, New York. He recently graduated from Seton Hall University with a degree in finance. During his time at Seton Hall, Matthew was a part of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and a student leader in the campus ministry. In his free time you might find Matthew lifting weights, skateboarding, practicing martial arts, or reading. He looks forward to being able to be a part of the DCC community and growing closer in Christ with everyone!
