Make your First Year a Transformational Experience at Duke

We know that without a community, it's hard to live your faith. We are created to live in communion with God and others. So, when you have friends, mentors, and resources, you can not only survive your time at Duke, you can thrive.

Starting college is an exciting yet challenging time as you transition away from the comforts of home to a demanding academic environment. Through engaging retreats, supportive small groups, and opportunities for spiritual growth, the Duke Catholic Center provides a home away from home where faith, friendship, and personal development thrive.

Welcome to Duke, Class of 2029!

The Duke Catholic Center looks forward to welcoming you to Duke! In conjunction to move-in day (8/16) and Orientation Week (8/17-8/22), the DCC is hosting the below opportunities for engagement.

IGNITE RETREAT

Join us for our Ignite Retreat September 5-7 at the beach! Great for first-year students (and open to all!), the Ignite retreat is a wonderful opportunity to meet and grow in relationships with other Catholic students at Duke.

Beyond budding friendships, Ignite also introduces students to and gives them a taste of the abundance of Catholic opportunities on campus, such as small groups, adoration, music ministry, confession, and more.

Check back for a Registration Link (coming soon!)

"I found [friends who could support me] at the DCC. And knowing that other students are genuinely looking out for me and my journey in prayer really helped me continue to strive to become closer to God."
