Celebrating the greatest gift
“We all have access to the Son, the very Word of God, and we can know Him."
Christmas is more than just the feast day; it is an entire liturgical season that begins with the vigil Masses on Christmas Eve and concludes on the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord (Sunday, January 12, 2025). During this season, we celebrate the incredible truth that God has come to us not through prophets or laws as in the past, but through His very Son, Jesus Christ.
This is the ultimate gift, one that brings hope, love, and joy into our lives. In Christ, we find a foundation of peace that drives away fear, worry, and anxiety. God has made Himself accessible to us, inviting us to know Him, love Him, and trust Him. As we pause amidst the celebrations, may we reflect on this life-giving gift of God’s presence and thank Him for the joy and peace it brings.
May this Christmas season be a time to thank God for all the gifts that He give us, but especially the greatest gift of all: the gift of Himself!

Director of Music Ministry
The DCC is seeking a full-time Director of Music Ministry (DMM) to help lead students into a deeper experience and love of Christ especially through Music Ministry. The DMM should deeply appreciate the Church’s liturgical and musical tradition to contribute effectively to the communal prayer life of the DCC.
The Duke Catholic Center celebrates liturgies in Duke Chapel, Memorial Chapel, and Goodson Chapel at Duke Divinity School. The DMM has access to the worldclass organs and pianos of these sacred spaces to lead our liturgical music program.
