Join us for a month-long pilgrimage along the historic Camino de Santiago
Our group will begin walking in St. Jean-Pied-de-Port on May 15 and will conclude the journey in Santiago on June 14.
We are currently awaiting final confirmation from Peregrino, the pilgrimage company coordinating the final seven days of our route. This includes accommodation details, total trip cost, and payment deadlines. Once this information is provided, we will schedule a group meeting to discuss travel logistics for the start of the pilgrimage.
Please note that students will be responsible for arranging most of their own travel, with the exception of the final seven days, which will be organized through the pilgrimage company. Further details will be shared as soon as they become available.

To create the right environment of welcome and community, the DCC offers four Duke Catholic students the opportunity to live in an intentional community in the Falcone Arena House, offering a spacious and comfortable housing opportunity to facilitate a healthy sense of Catholic community on the property.

Stepping into Christmas
Christmas doesn’t end on December 25 - rather, this marks the beginning of the Christmas Octave, an eight-day liturgical celebration that continues the joy of the Nativity of the Lord through January 1, the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God. Each day during the octave is considered part of the solemn feast of Christmas, and the Church continues to emphasize Christ’s birth and its implications for salvation.
Within the Octave of Christmas, the Church highlights several important feast days that draw us deeper into the mystery of the Incarnation and Christian witness. After Christmas Day itself, the calendar includes the Feast of St. Stephen (Dec. 26), the Feast of St. John the Evangelist (Dec. 27), the Feast of the Holy Innocents (Dec. 28), the Feast of the Holy Family (the Sunday after Christmas), and concludes with the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, on January 1.
The Christmas Octave is part of the broader Catholic Christmas season, which extends even beyond January 1 and leads up to the Feast of the Epiphany and the Baptism of the Lord. In this way, the Church invites us to sustain the joy, reflection, and prayer of Christmas for days and weeks after the Nativity, keeping the light of Christ’s coming alive in both liturgy and daily life.
