While Duke classes are off for Christmas break, be aware of the following changes in the liturgy schedule:
- Daily Masses will resume on Wednesday, January 7.
- Sunday, December 21: No 9am Mass (join us at 11am in Goodson or 8pm in Duke Chapel)
- Wednesday, December 24: Christmas Eve Mass will be in Goodson Chapel at 5pm (preceded by Carols at 4:30pm)
- There will be no liturgies (including no Sunday Masses) between December 25 and January 7.
- Sunday, January 11: The regular Sunday Liturgy schedule resumes (9am and 11am in Goodson Chapel and 8pm in Duke Chapel)

Confirmation Class: Spring 2026
For students at Duke: if you would like to get confirmed at the Easter Vigil, this course is for you.
Meetings will be on Sunday afternoons (January 18, 25, February 1, 15, 22, and March 1), from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. in the York Room (Divinity School). The deadline for submitting your baptismal certificate is February 23. The confirmation will take place at the Easter Vigil on Saturday, April 4.

The 2026 Ablaze Retreat is scheduled for February 6-8, 2026. This ministry-wide retreat will be held off-campus and is the perfect opportunity to take a step away from Duke and intentionally focus on your faith.

Join us for a month-long pilgrimage along the historic Camino de Santiago
Our group will begin walking in St. Jean-Pied-de-Port on May 15 and will conclude the journey in Santiago on June 14.
We are currently awaiting final confirmation from Peregrino, the pilgrimage company coordinating the final seven days of our route. This includes accommodation details, total trip cost, and payment deadlines. Once this information is provided, we will schedule a group meeting to discuss travel logistics for the start of the pilgrimage.
Please note that students will be responsible for arranging most of their own travel, with the exception of the final seven days, which will be organized through the pilgrimage company. Further details will be shared as soon as they become available.

We're almost there!
On this final Sunday of Advent, just a few days before Christmas, Fr. Juan José invites us to reflect on the liturgy’s reminder that, lest we become too giddy in our anticipation of the forthcoming joy, the Passion and the Cross are also there. As we anticipate the birth of our Lord, the Word made flesh, we should be mindful of what He was destined to endure in his earthly life.
We hope these short weekly videos, along with the Advent Scripture Reflections from The Better Part (which you can find in the DCC App), and the Advent content found on our Instagram channel, will help you enter more deeply into the season of Advent.
Let us unite ourselves to Him, as He united Himself to us by His Incarnation, and carry our cross as He carried his. For only through his suffering is our joy possible. We therefore ask our heavenly Father for his grace as we prepare for Christmas morning and seek ever to be more like Christ, by whose birth, passion, and resurrection we are saved.
